Here you will find out how you can supply a product or service to us, further information for existing suppliers, and the latest news and updates for suppliers.
National Grid and the Electricity System Operator (ESO) have been working closely with Government, industry and Ofgem to create a new, independent organisation that will be responsible for strategic, whole system planning and oversight across both the gas and electricity systems (as set out in the Energy Act 2023).The new organisation will be called the National Energy System Operator (NESO).
NESO will play an important role in driving progress towards net zero and contributing to a future of clean, fair and affordable energy.
In creating NESO, the ESO will separate from National Grid plc in the summer of 2024. As part of this separation work, we will need to temporarily switch off several key systems, including the Coupa Supplier Portal, between 26 April and 20 May. Read on to find out what you need to know.
During this period, we will not be able to issue purchase orders, process invoices/credit notes or make payments and you will not be able to submit invoices/credit notes via the Coupa Supplier Portal. Please make sure to submit your invoices for goods and services already provided into the Coupa Supplier Portal as early as possible and resolves any potential disputes.
If you provide services to ESO, a separate Supplier and Contract Number will be created in our systems for NESO.
You will receive a re-invite to the Coupa Supplier Portal (CSP) referencing the new ESO Supplier record and additional information.
